Village Books sells quality pre-read books and has a large selection of romance, mystery, horror, sci-fi/ fantasy, literature, poetry, children's books and a variety of non-fiction - and more! Not all of our books are listed on our web-site so please ask if you can't find what you are looking for. 

We specialize in mystery, romance and children's books and have a large selection for you to choose from. 

We are not just an on-line bookstore but  have a storefront located in Wortley Village in London, Ontario. We think it is important to be able to interact with customers face-to-face as well as in cyberspace! 

Our store is in a frame house in Queen Anne style, built in 1895. It provides just the right ambience for a used bookstore, with its creaking hardwood floors, high ceilings and extensive wood trim. As with all old houses, the renovation is constant and on-going!

Village Books opened its doors for the first time on July 19, 1999. Originally located at 134 Wortley Road and sharing space with the Sunflower Shop for Kids, Village Books quickly outgrew its space and moved to its current location on April 1st, 2000. For owner, Kim (Farrow) Knowles, an avid reader and book aficionado, opening a bookstore fulfilled a life-long dream. A graduate of South Secondary School, Kim has strong roots in Old South and knew there could be no better spot for her bookstore than Wortley Village.
